About Me
Inés Friss de Kereki is a distinguished professor and researcher in the field of computer science. She serves as the Chair of Programming and a professor at the Engineering School of Universidad ORT Uruguay. Additionally, she is a researcher affiliated with the PEDECIBA Program (Programme for the Development of Basic Sciences) in Uruguay.Dr. Friss de Kereki earned her PhD in Computer Science from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain. She also holds a Diploma in Education from Universidad ORT Uruguay and a Computer Science Engineer degree from the Universidad de la República, Uruguay. Her academic and professional work has significantly contributed to the advancement of computer science education and basic research in Uruguay.As an educator, she teaches courses such as Code Yourself! An Introduction to Programming (available in English), ¡A Programar! Una introducción a la programación (in Spanish), and برمج بنفسك! مقدمة حول البرمجة (in Arabic), offering students worldwide the foundational skills needed to start programming.
