Ignasi Alcalde

Ignasi Alcalde is a professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at La Salle URL, focusing on data visualization and data literacy. Alcalde is a member of the DS4DS (Data Science for the Digital Society) research group. His academic background includes a degree in Multimedia, a Master's in Information and Knowledge Society, and a postgraduate degree in Data Analysis and Visualization from the University of Texas at Austin. He is the author of the book "Visualización de la información: de los datos al conocimiento" (Information Visualization: From Data to Knowledge). Alcalde is also the director of "IA from data to knowledge," a consultancy specializing in data visualization, and is certified by the Open Data Institute as a trainer in open data visualization.
