A postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the Department of Early Modern History at the Universitat de Barcelona, she holds a European doctorate in the History of Art from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Her doctoral thesis focused on the public celebrations in viceroyal Naples during the mid-seventeenth century, based on an unpublished source: the written chronicle of Andrea Rubino, which encompasses the years 1648-1669. Her interest in the Neapolitan viceroyalty began with her undergraduate thesis presented in 2004 at the Università degli Studi della Tuscia de Viterbo, exploring the artistic pursuits of Gaspar de Bracamonte y Guzmán, Count of Peñaranda, who served as Viceroy of Naples from 1659 to 1664.
