EdxIan Schreiber is a game designer, author, and adjunct professor at Rochester Institute of Technology, recognized for his significant contributions to game design education and industry. He is the co-founder of Global Game Jam, the world’s largest in-person game creation event, and has worked on multiple published game titles as well as training and simulation games for Fortune 500 companies. Ian has taught game design and development at institutions such as Ohio University, Columbus State Community College, Savannah College of Art and Design, and RIT. He is the author of three influential books—Challenges for Game Designers, Breaking into the Game Industry, and Game Balance—that are widely used in academic and professional circles. With a career spanning since 2000, Ian has played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of game designers through his teaching, writing, and industry leadership.
