Henning Haack has established himself as a leading authority in planetary science and meteorite research at the University of Copenhagen and Natural History Museum. After earning his Ph.D. in Geophysics from the University of Copenhagen in 1991, he completed postdoctoral work at various universities in the US and Denmark before becoming curator of the Danish Meteorite collection in 1998. His research focuses on the origin and early evolution of the Solar System, with significant contributions to understanding asteroid fragmentation, core crystallization, and meteorite composition. His work has been widely cited, particularly his research on catastrophic fragmentation of asteroids and early planetesimal melting. As head of teaching at the Natural History Museum and instructor for the course "Origins - Formation of the Universe, Solar System, Earth and Life," he combines his curatorial expertise with education. His publications, including influential papers in Nature and Science Advances, have shaped our understanding of planetary formation and meteorite classification.
