Heitor Almeida

Heitor Almeida serves as the Stanley C. and Joan J. Golder Distinguished Chair in Corporate Finance and is the Academic Director of iDegrees at the Gies College of Business, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Joining the faculty in 2007, he has established himself as a leading expert in areas such as financial constraints, liquidity management, and mergers and acquisitions. His academic credentials include a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago, and he has contributed significantly to the field through his research and editorial roles in various financial journals. Heitor teaches courses like "Corporate Finance I" and "Finance of Mergers and Acquisitions," where he combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications to prepare students for successful careers in finance.
