Héctor F. Hernández V. is a professor of leadership at the School of Government, Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. He emphasizes creating spaces where individuals can elevate their potential and achieve their goals through heightened awareness. Two pivotal moments in his life led him to this role: being let go from the corporate world, which made him realize he had built a successful career to please others, and deciding to address community problems by co-founding the Asociación de Vecinos de Chicó Norte in Bogotá. He holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Michigan and is an Industrial Engineer from Universidad Javeriana. His career spans 12 years working as an engineer in tech companies like IBM and Apple, and as a consultant in the U.S. He also worked as an entrepreneur and commercial representative in Colombia. Currently, he serves as a coach, trainer, and facilitator for executive development programs, certified in Lego® Serious Play® methodology. Since 2011, he has been the founder and president of the Asociación de Vecinos de Chicó Norte.
