Heather Gorr

Dr. Heather Gorr is a Senior Product Manager at MathWorks, where she leads initiatives in data science, artificial intelligence, and application deployment. She holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, along with both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Physics from Penn State University. Since joining MathWorks in 2013, Heather has been instrumental in supporting MATLAB users across various domains, including mathematics and deep learning. Her prior experience as a Research Fellow involved machine learning applications for predicting fluid concentrations. In addition to her technical expertise, Heather is passionate about education and actively engages with the community through webinars and online courses, making complex concepts accessible to learners. Outside of her professional pursuits, she is also a talented musician, playing guitar and drums in several bands while studying Advanced Music Production at Berklee College of Music Online. Through her work at MathWorks and her commitment to continuous learning, Heather Gorr exemplifies the integration of technology and creativity in driving innovation in data science.
