Harinath Garudadri

Harinath Garudadri is an Associate Research Scientist at the Qualcomm Institute, UC San Diego, focusing on healthcare innovation. He works on technologies to reduce healthcare delivery costs and extend caregivers’ expertise beyond hospital walls. With a background in signal processing, he has contributed to speech recognition, audio/video compression, physiological data sensing, noise cancellation, and body area networks. Hari holds 40 granted patents across biomedical signal processing, voice recognition, and related fields, with over 14 patents pending. Prior to UCSD, he worked 16 years at Qualcomm in roles spanning multi-lingual speech recognition and low power communications.
