Haoyu Yang

Haoyu Yang is pursuing her MSc in Landscape Architecture at Wageningen University & Research, focusing on exploring the complex relationships between urban dwellers and natural spaces in city environments. In 2021, she made significant contributions to the 'Rewild Finland' project in collaboration with Snowchange, where she assisted in promoting ecological restoration initiatives and served as a team representative. Her work emphasizes strengthening connections between city residents and nature through sustainable design approaches. As a Landscape Architecture Intern at H+N+S, she has gained practical experience in implementing nature-based solutions in urban contexts. Her research interests align with contemporary urban challenges, particularly focusing on how landscape architecture can bridge the gap between city development and natural ecosystems. Through her academic work and project involvement, she advocates for design approaches that foster respect for nature while creating sustainable urban environments. Her vision emphasizes the importance of integrating ecological principles into urban planning to create more sustainable and greener cities for the future.
