West Virginia UniversityHany Ammar is a Professor Emeritus of Computer Engineering in the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at West Virginia University. With over 200 published articles in esteemed international journals and conference proceedings, he has made significant contributions to the fields of software engineering and computer architecture since 1985. Ammar served as the editor-in-chief for the Communications of the Arab Computer Society On-Line Magazine and the Journal of Computer Science and Engineering in Arabic. He co-authored two influential books on software engineering and has led various research projects, including one funded by the Qatar National Research Fund to establish an International Center of Excellence in Software Engineering. His research interests encompass software risk assessment, software architecture metrics, and automated identification systems, among others. Ammar holds a Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame and has been actively involved in professional organizations such as IEEE and ACM, contributing to numerous international conferences as a committee member.
