Distinguished Dental Researcher and Special Care Dentistry Pioneer
Dr. Gustavo Molina serves as Professor in Dental Materials Science and Special Care Dentistry at the Catholic University of Córdoba and Adjunct Professor at The National University of Córdoba, while recently joining the Faculty of Dentistry at HKU as Clinical Practitioner in Cariology. With over 15 years of experience teaching dental materials science in Argentinean dental schools, he has established himself as a leading authority in minimally invasive caries treatment, particularly focusing on vulnerable populations. His research has significantly contributed to the development of accessible treatment options, including pioneering work on the ART (Atraumatic Restorative Treatment) approach for patients with disabilities. As President-Elect of the International Association for Disability and Oral Health, he leads initiatives to improve access to quality dental care for underserved populations.
