His commitment to public health began at the University of Washington, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Public Health. Before joining Columbia in February 2021, he demonstrated his dedication to community health as a program manager at the Urban Indian Health Institute, coordinating epidemiological projects that specifically served urban American Indian and Alaska Native communities. His research interests focus on violence prevention, injury reduction, and promoting community wellbeing through addressing broader societal determinants of health, contributing to the development of the INSPIRE MOOC, which focuses on strategies for ending violence against children.
