Gu Ying

Gu Ying serves as an Assistant Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University's International Chinese Language Education Center within the School of Humanities. As a faculty member at one of China's most prestigious institutions, she contributes to the center's 30-year legacy of Chinese language education. She is part of a distinguished team of over 70 experienced educators at the International Chinese Education Center, where she specializes in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Her work involves teaching in the comprehensive Chinese language program, which includes various levels from elementary to advanced, as well as specialized courses for heritage learners. At the center, she participates in delivering intensive language instruction through small-group classes utilizing modern multimedia teaching facilities. Her role includes contributing to both the general track program and specialized courses, helping international students develop proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking Mandarin Chinese
