Gregory Wiles, PhD

Dr. Gregory Wiles is the Interim Chair and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Kennesaw State University. He holds a PhD in Technology Management and has a strong background in quality systems. Dr. Wiles has extensive experience in manufacturing, particularly in lean implementation, and has taught various courses related to Six Sigma methodologies. His courses on Coursera include Six Sigma Advanced Analyze Phase, Six Sigma Advanced Define and Measure Phases, and Six Sigma Principles, among others. These courses are designed to equip students with essential skills for improving organizational processes and quality management.In recognition of his contributions to engineering education, Dr. Wiles was awarded the Engineer of the Year in Education at the 2024 Georgia Engineering Awards. His teaching philosophy emphasizes practical applications of engineering principles, preparing students for successful careers in the field.
