École Polytechnique Fédérale de LausanneGrégoire Bourban is the Head of Space Exchange Switzerland (SXS), a national platform funded by the Swiss Space Office (SSO) to support Swiss organizations and individuals in addressing future space challenges. Based at EPFL's Vice-Presidency for Innovation, he leads a consortium of five major Swiss institutions including EPFL, ETH Zurich, University of Zurich, FHNW, and USI. Before his current role, he served as deputy director at Space Innovation (formerly Swiss Space Center), where he managed national affairs and relationships with the European Space Agency (ESA). As coordinator of national studies funded by the Swiss Space Office, he facilitated collaboration between industries and academic laboratories across Switzerland. His vision, captured in the motto "Connect the stars on Earth," reflects his commitment to fostering space innovation and collaboration in Switzerland. Through SXS, he oversees initiatives in professional training, outreach activities, student mobility, and technology harmonization, working to amplify Switzerland's presence in the global space sector.
