Born in 1978, Dr. Ge Jidong is an accomplished Ph.D. in Engineering and an associate professor who actively contributes to the academic community as a member of ACM/IEEE and a senior member of the China Computer Federation (CCF). He is also a member of the System Software Committee. Dr. Ge has led significant research initiatives, including one funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and another by the Jiangsu Natural Science Foundation, while participating in several key scientific projects such as 973 and 863. With over 60 published papers in prestigious journals, including IEEE Transactions on Services Computing, Automated Software Engineering, and Information Sciences, he has made substantial contributions to the field. His research has also been presented at important international conferences like ICSE and APSEC, resulting in more than 50 papers indexed in major retrieval systems. As a key contributor to various educational projects, Dr. Ge has received numerous accolades, including the second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award for Higher Education in 2014 and the first prize for Jiangsu Province Teaching Achievement Award in 2013. He played a pivotal role in developing the National Excellent Course "Operating System Principles and Practice" in 2010 and has been recognized as an outstanding instructor within the Nanjing University Young Backbone Teacher Training Program. Additionally, he has authored several textbooks, including "Undergraduate Course of Software Engineering at Nanjing University," "Software Process and Management," and "Basics of Computer Systems."
