Massachusetts Institute of TechnologyDr. Gareth Huw McKinley is the School of Engineering Professor of Teaching Innovation at MIT's Department of Mechanical Engineering, where he has made groundbreaking contributions to the understanding of complex fluids and non-Newtonian fluid dynamics. After earning his BA and MEng from the University of Cambridge, he completed his Ph.D. at MIT in 1991. His research spans multiple areas including extensional rheology, microfluidics, field-responsive materials, and super-hydrophobicity.
