Professor Wan has had a distinguished career in applied mathematics and engineering mechanics, contributing significantly to fields such as resource economics, neurosciences, viral dynamics, and developmental and cell biology. He has served on the editorial boards of several prestigious journals, including the Journal of Applied Mechanics and the International Journal of Solids and Structures.
