Fred Paccaud (In Partnership with UNIGE)

Fred Paccaud is a prominent professor of epidemiology and public health, serving as the Director of the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine at the University Hospital Center in Lausanne. He oversees a team of approximately 160 collaborators focused on chronic disease epidemiology, health services research, and biostatistics. His research primarily targets cardiometabolic conditions, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, and he evaluates public health interventions while developing population-based health information systems. Prof. Paccaud has contributed significantly to the field through his expertise in disease screening and public health strategies, teaching courses such as "Disease Screening in Public Health."
