Francine Gresnigt

Francine Gresnigt is a PhD candidate in Econometrics at the Erasmus School of Economics. Her current research focuses on modeling and forecasting extreme price movements in financial markets. She employs models from earthquake literature to enhance existing methods by utilizing self- and cross-exciting mechanisms that contribute to the occurrence of extremes.
