EdxDr. Ernesto Brunet-Romero, a Fulbright and NATO fellow, is a distinguished professor of Organic Chemistry at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). Since 1986, he has been instrumental in advancing the field through teaching, research, and academic collaborations, such as the UAM-Boston University agreement. A participant in the ADA-Madrid project for over a decade, he was a pioneer in developing MOOCs, making organic chemistry accessible to global audiences. He leads the LUMILA research group and the UAM-Ercros Chair in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, focusing on innovative applications of organic chemistry in pharmaceuticals.
