The Hong Kong Polytechnic UniversityProfessor Eric Tsui serves as a Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and Associate Director of the Knowledge Management and Innovation Research Centre at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. After extensive academic research in automated knowledge acquisition and natural language processing, he spent 16 years at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), where he served as Chief Research Officer for Asia Pacific and Innovation Manager. His research has been supported by grants from organizations including Arthur Young, Rank Xerox, and the Australian Research Council. He holds B.Sc (Hons.), PhD, and MBA qualifications. His expertise spans knowledge technologies, including search engines, portals, personal knowledge management, and cloud services. As Vice President of the Hong Kong Knowledge Management Society and advisor to various government bodies, he has received numerous accolades including the Global Knowledge Management Leadership Award and the Knowledge Management Excellence Award. His contributions to education include developing MOOCs and receiving multiple teaching innovation awards, while securing over HK$9m in funding for teaching and learning projects.
