With over 10 years of experience in space transportation across academia, space agencies, and industry, she has worked on projects ranging from pre-development to launch operations. At EPFL, she teaches courses on spacecraft design and space sustainability, focusing on developing tools and methodologies for more sustainable space missions. David leads the Research Initiative on Sustainable Space Logistics (RISSL), which aims to drive innovation in sustainable space operations. She is particularly involved in developing metrics for space sustainability and implementing the Space Sustainability Rating (SSR) system. Her work includes teaching students how to assess sustainability from economic, societal, and environmental perspectives, while providing practical tools for spacecraft design and mission planning. Through her leadership, she contributes to advancing space sustainability education and research, bridging the gap between academic research and industrial applications in the space sector.
