The research aims to characterize the evolution of Earth's surficial environments throughout history and understand their influence on the emergence and evolution of life. By investigating high-temperature geochemical reactions between rocks and fluids, particularly in geothermal systems and ore-forming processes, insights can be gained into Earth's geological and biological evolution. This study emphasizes the interactions between the hydrosphere, which is essential for life, and other major Earth reservoirs—biosphere, atmosphere, lithosphere, and mantle—highlighting how geological processes may determine biological evolution and vice versa.
