Emili Boix

Emili Boix is a professor at the Faculty of Philology and Communication at the University of Barcelona. He was the president of the Catalan Society of Sociolinguistics and is currently the director of its academic journal, Treballs de Sociolingüística Catalana. Boix has directed the EVOGEN project (Intergenerational Evolution of Bilingualization Processes: Linguistic Contexts, Maintenance and Substitution) and is the coordinator of the research area of Ethnographic and Anthropological Sociolinguistics within the CRUSCAT network (Institut d’Estudis Catalans). He is also a member of the Linguapax Board.
