Emanuela Colombo holds a Ph.D. in Energetic and a Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, where she serves as a Full Professor specializing in “Engineering for Cooperation and Development” as well as “Thermoeconomics and Energy Modelling” in the Department of Energy. Since 2005, she has been the Rector’s Delegate for Cooperation and Development, and in 2011, she introduced a new track in the Master’s program in Energy Engineering focused on “Energy for Development.” A prolific researcher, she has authored over 200 scientific papers, with around 120 indexed in Scopus, achieving an H-index of 22. Currently, she plays a key role in the scientific coordination of Pillar 2 within the LEAP-RE project, which is the Long-Term Joint EU-AU Research and Innovation Partnership on Renewable Energy funded by the European Commission.
