Delft University of TechnologyEleni Papadonikolaki serves as Associate Professor in Management of Engineering Projects and Head of the Integral Design & Management section at TU Delft's Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, where she leads research at the intersection of digital technology, project management, and engineering teams. Her academic journey includes a PhD in Design and Construction Management from TU Delft, an MSc in Architecture (cum laude), and a Diploma in Architectural Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. Before joining TU Delft, she spent seven years at University College London as Founding Director of the MSc in Digital Engineering Management. Her research portfolio focuses on digital transformation in engineering projects, Building Information Modeling, and sustainable project delivery, with over 100 publications in high-impact journals. As a licensed architect, Member of the Association for Project Management, and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, she brings both practical and academic expertise to her work. She currently serves as Associate Editor of the International Journal of Project Management, focusing on technology, while maintaining industry connections through her roles at the Construction Blockchain Consortium and as Founding Partner at Digital Outlook. Her research has earned significant recognition, including funding from European and UK research councils, while her work continues to advance understanding of digital transformation in engineering projects and team management.
