Eden Haverfield

Eden Haverfield serves as an ABMG-certified Clinical Molecular Geneticist at Invitae Corporation, bringing extensive expertise in genetic diagnostics for hereditary disorders. Her distinguished career includes serving as Director of the Whole Exome Sequencing Program at GeneDx and Assistant Director of the Genetic Services Laboratory at the University of Chicago. After earning her BA in Biological Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania and both MSc and PhD in Human Genetics from the University of Oxford, she completed postdoctoral training in Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacogenomics before pursuing ABMG-accredited clinical molecular genetics training at the University of Chicago. At Invitae, she applies her comprehensive background to advance genetic testing technologies and improve diagnostic capabilities for hereditary conditions, while working to make genetic information more accessible in mainstream medical practice.
