Georgetown UniversityEddie Maloney serves as Executive Director of The Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS) and Professor in Georgetown University's Department of English. After earning his PhD in English Literature from The Ohio State University and MA from Syracuse University, he has established himself as a leader in both digital learning innovation and literary studies. His work spans directing CNDLS, where he advances Georgetown's teaching and learning strategies through technology-enhanced approaches and learning analytics, while maintaining an active role in literary scholarship. His teaching focuses on modernism, postmodernism, and narrative theory, with particular emphasis on authors like Joyce, Woolf, Beckett, Nabokov, and Borges. His research includes two ongoing book projects - "Footnotes in Fiction" examining artificial paratexts in fictional narratives, and "Narrative Pedagogy" exploring narrative's role in teaching and learning. He has co-directed the innovative MyDante project with Professor Frank Ambrosio, developing a web-based platform for studying Dante's works that integrates digital technology with contemplative reading practices
