Dr. Uri Hangorsky

Dr. Uri Hangorsky is the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Director of the PASS Program at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine. With a dental degree from Columbia University School of Dental Medicine (1974) and a Master’s in Periodontics from Case Western Reserve University (1978), Dr. Hangorsky has dedicated his career to advancing education and clinical excellence in dentistry.During his tenure at Penn, Dr. Hangorsky has held numerous leadership roles, including Director of the Predoctoral Program in Periodontics and Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs. A passionate educator, he has lectured extensively to both predoctoral and postdoctoral students, earning prestigious accolades such as the University Provost's Award for Distinguished Teaching.Dr. Hangorsky’s courses, including Frontiers in Dentistry, Introduction to Dental Medicine, and The Oral Cavity: Portal to Health and Disease, highlight his commitment to integrating foundational knowledge with cutting-edge advancements in dental health.
