Dr Robert Lindsay

Dr. Rob is a Reader in Corrosion Science and Engineering at the School of Materials, University of Manchester. He teaches corrosion at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and leads a specialized unit focused on oilfield corrosion. His research aims to deepen mechanistic understanding of surface and interface properties related to corrosion, exploring the structure and chemistry of oxide surfaces. Rob utilizes a variety of experimental techniques, including cutting-edge surface probes such as surface X-ray diffraction and vibrational sum frequency spectroscopy, both in laboratory and synchrotron settings.
