Dr Pau Castell Granados

Pau Castell, with a BA in History, an MA in Medieval Cultures, and a PhD in Medieval History from the University of Barcelona, specializes in the history of witchcraft and witch-hunts in the Catalan region. Awarded a pre-doctoral fellowship (2008-2012), his PhD, completed in 2013, won the 2014 Best Doctoral Thesis in Medieval History by the Noguera Foundation. His research spans archives in France, Spain, and Catalonia, with academic work at universities like the Université de Lausanne and the University of Oxford. He has extensively published on 15th-16th century witch-hunts and teaches Units 1 and 3 in this MOOC.
