About Me
Patrick Parra Pennefather is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Arts, Theatre and Film at the University of British Columbia, where he has served since 2018. His teaching philosophy emphasizes practice-based learning with embedded 21st Century competencies like collaboration, communication, self-regulation, problem-solving and critical thinking. As faculty in residence at UBC's Emerging Media Lab, he leads research initiatives involving artificial intelligence, motion capture, and mixed reality experiences.
