Renowned for his extensive expertise in national security, military strategy, and Asian geopolitics, Dr. Jha authored numerous influential publications that shaped policy discussions globally. His career included significant roles at the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses, the National Security Council Secretariat, and the Indian Council of World Affairs. At JSIA, he was instrumental in managing the Jindal Journal of International Affairs and mentoring doctoral students, significantly enhancing the school's academic output. A passionate patriot and educator, Dr. Jha's teachings were characterized by a realistic approach to power politics, and he was deeply engaged in fostering India’s strategic partnerships, particularly with Vietnam. His untimely passing has left a profound void at JSIA, where his legacy of dedication to scholarship and mentorship continues to inspire students and faculty alike.
