Dr. Na'ama Bela Shik is the Director of the Educational Technology Department at Yad Vashem's International School for Holocaust Studies. Born in a kibbutz in Israel to Holocaust survivor parents, she has dedicated her academic career to studying the experiences of Jewish women in Auschwitz-Birkenau, earning her PhD from Tel Aviv University. Dr. Shik has published several articles on topics such as early testimonies and the dynamics of mother-daughter relationships in the camp. Since joining Yad Vashem in 1999, she has been instrumental in developing educational resources that preserve the memory of the Holocaust and promote its lessons for future generations. In addition to her work in Holocaust studies, she has a passion for literature and engages in teaching and lecturing internationally about the Holocaust.
