Dr. Ming-Yen Ng

Dr. Ming-Yen Ng serves as Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at The University of Hong Kong and Director of HKU's groundbreaking Cardiac Imaging MOOCs, where he has revolutionized global cardiac imaging education. After completing his radiology training in Manchester and a prestigious cardiac imaging fellowship at Toronto General Hospital, he has established himself as a leading authority in cardiothoracic imaging. His academic excellence is evidenced by fellowships in the American College of Cardiology, Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR), and Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT), along with his role as SCMR Education Committee Chair and SCCT Board member. His innovative online cardiac imaging courses have earned multiple accolades, including the HKU Teaching Innovation Award and QS Reimagine Education Gold Award, while being nominated twice as an edX Prize finalist. With over 80 peer-reviewed publications in prestigious journals like JACC and Radiology, his research focuses on quantitative stress CMR, coronary artery disease, diabetes, heart failure, and COVID-19.
