Markus Powling transitioned from a career as a research psychologist in the corporate sector to teaching, where he now serves as a science specialist in schools and at Macquarie University's School of Education. He is involved in both teaching and research, focusing on STEM education. Markus holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Teaching from the University of Sydney. Interestingly, he was once considered for recruitment by a spy agency and enjoys reading John le Carré while practicing his German in Viennese coffee shops.
