IoT and Cybersecurity Expert Pioneers Smart Space Research

Technische Universität MünchenDr. Marc-Oliver Pahl is a distinguished researcher and educator specializing in cybersecurity and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. As head of the IoT Smart Space Orchestration team at Technical University of Munich's Chair for Network Architectures and Services, he leads innovative research in smart space technologies and cybersecurity. He holds a Diploma from the University of Tübingen and earned his PhD summa cum laude from TUM. An eLearning pioneer since 2003, he has been teaching at German universities since 2001, receiving multiple teaching awards including the Ernst Otto Fischer teaching prize. His research focuses on developing secure, interoperable IoT systems and smart space orchestration, leading to the development of the Distributed Smart Space Orchestration System (DS2OS). Currently serving as a Professor for Cybersecurity at IMT Atlantique in France and Vice-President of the German Chapter of the ACM, he continues to advance the fields of cybersecurity and IoT through research, teaching, and international collaboration
