University of LondonDr. Konstantinos Mersinas is a trained mathematician and information security expert, currently serving as the Director of the Distance Learning MSc program in Information Security at Royal Holloway. His research focuses on the behavioral aspects of security, employing insights from behavioral economics and psychology to analyze security behaviors, risk perceptions, decision-making processes, and the human dimensions of cybercrime. He supervises PhD students and actively collaborates on interdisciplinary projects aimed at protecting vulnerable populations from online threats, such as cyberbullying and financial fraud. Dr. Mersinas also contributes to various academic committees and has engaged with policymakers on cybersecurity legislation.
