Dr Jessie Paterson

Dr. Jessie Paterson holds a BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Chemistry and a PhD focused on cobalt deficiency in cattle and sheep from the University of Glasgow. After working as an agricultural specialist advisor and managing an agricultural laboratory, she transitioned into academia, where she developed a passion for student support. Currently, she is a lecturer in student learning at The University of Edinburgh, where she contributes to enhancing educational experiences for students. Dr. Paterson teaches the course EDIVET: Do you have what it takes to be a veterinarian?, which helps aspiring veterinarians assess their readiness for the profession while providing insights into veterinary education and practice. Her background in agricultural chemistry and commitment to student learning make her a valuable resource in the field of veterinary education.
