The Hong Kong Polytechnic UniversityDr. Kevin Chan serves as Lecturer in the Department of Applied Social Sciences at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where he combines his expertise in learning technologies with public health and psychology. After earning his PhD from PolyU, MPH from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and BA in Psychology from the University of Toronto, he has established himself as a pioneer in blended and e-learning innovations. His work includes founding the Clickers@PolyU user group and developing technology-enhanced learning approaches, earning recognition with the Overall Bronze Award at Reimagine Education 2016 for his project on Peer Instructions. His research interests span learning science, community psychology, and technology adoption, with particular focus on video-based formative assessment, out-of-class learning, and gamified learning approaches. Through his leadership in multiple funded projects, including initiatives in flipped classroom implementation and multidisciplinary competency development, he continues to advance innovative teaching methodologies while exploring the intersection of technology and educational engagement.
