Dr. Elizabeth Slator is the Associate Director at Rice University, where she has dedicated nearly two decades to teaching and consulting in health, human performance, and behavior change. Her courses focus on mindfulness, performance psychology, and leadership development, equipping students with essential skills for personal and professional growth. In addition to her academic role, Dr. Slator serves as a sport psychology consultant for the Rice Athletic Department and develops wellness programs for the university community. As a mindfulness-based health and wellness coach, she works with private clients to foster well-being and resilience. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Elizabeth combines her love for nature with her professional expertise by creating programs and retreats that emphasize mindfulness and well-being. She holds a B.S. and M.Ed. from Auburn University and a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee, along with certifications as an ICF Associate Certified Coach and a qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher. Through her work, Dr. Slator empowers individuals to approach life with authenticity, balance, and joy.
