Distinguished Entrepreneurship Educator and Innovation Specialist
Dr. Eleanor Browne serves as Associate Lecturer in Enterprise and Innovation Education at The University of Queensland, where she brings a unique blend of artistic and entrepreneurial expertise to higher education. After beginning her career as a Fine Art graduate and visual artist running her own business, she transitioned to entrepreneurial education, spending a decade directing an award-winning UK university business incubator. Her Ph.D. research explored the dynamics between commercial and social entrepreneurs in business incubator settings, while her current role focuses on developing curriculum that fosters entrepreneurial mindsets across university disciplines. As a Certified Innovation Practitioner and Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, she contributes to EMPLOY101x by bringing an entrepreneurial perspective to employability education. Her work spans supporting creative industries entrepreneurs, developing innovative startups across various sectors, and designing educational programs that empower students to become effective problem-solvers capable of creating positive change through entrepreneurial action.
