Hamad Bin Khalifa UniversityDr. Anis Ben Brik serves as an Associate Professor and Founding Director of the Program for Social Policy Evaluation and Research (PROSPER) at the College of Public Policy, Hamad Bin Khalifa University. His academic credentials include a PhD from University College London and a Master's in Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science, along with a Higher Education Teaching Certificate from Harvard University. Before joining HBKU, he served as Director of the Family Policy Department at the Doha International Family Institute and held positions as a senior policy advisor across the MENA region. His research portfolio spans social welfare, family policy, child welfare, and program evaluation, with significant publications including "The COVID-19 Pandemic in the Middle East and North Africa: Public Policy Responses" and "The Future of the Policy Sciences." He currently leads the UN-sponsored international research project examining pandemic impacts on family life across 72 countries. Dr. Ben Brik has established himself as a prominent voice in family policy and social protection, serving as the Founding President of both the MENA Evaluation Society and the Global Observatory for Family Research and Policies, while also acting as the MENA region Organizing Partner of the United Nations NGO Major Group
