Dr. Allison Soult

Dr. Allison Soult serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Kentucky, where she has been teaching and coordinating laboratory programs since 2002. With a BS in Chemistry from Centre College and a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Florida State University, she has dedicated her career to advancing chemical education through innovative teaching methods. Her research focuses on improving student engagement in large lecture settings and incorporating technology to enhance learning outcomes. Her excellence in education and administration was recognized with the A&S Outstanding Staff Award in 2008. Through her courses "Advanced Chemistry" and "Chemistry" on Coursera, she continues to expand access to chemical education while developing new approaches to engage students in both traditional and online learning environments.
