Dr. Alasdair Richmond

Dr. Alasdair Richmond is a lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh, having joined the department in 2003 after completing his studies at Aberdeen University. He has published works on various topics, including constructive empiricism, the Anthropic Principle, Doomsday arguments, Descartes’ views on immortality, time travel, and the topology of time. Currently, he is working on a book titled Time Travel for Philosophers. Dr. Richmond teaches courses such as "Introduction to Philosophy" and "Philosophy and the Sciences," including a Chinese (Simplified) version of his introductory course titled "哲学导论（中文版）."
