Dr Alan Parkinson

Dr. Alan Parkinson is the Deputy Director of the School of Management at University College London (UCL), where he oversees educational initiatives and curriculum development. In addition to his administrative role, he serves as a Principal Teaching Fellow in Accounting and is a Professor of Managerial Accounting at Tongji University in Shanghai. Dr. Parkinson holds a Doctorate in Education, an MSc in Business, a Higher Education Teaching Certificate, and an MA in Early Modern History, showcasing his diverse academic background and commitment to education.With extensive international training and consultancy experience, Dr. Parkinson has authored numerous publications focusing on accounting history, technology in education, and curriculum design. His research interests reflect a deep engagement with how educational practices evolve alongside technological advancements. In the classroom, he teaches courses such as "International Business Environment," equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complexities of global business.
