Douglas C. Montgomery

Douglas C. Montgomery is a Regent's Professor of Industrial Engineering and ASU Foundation Professor at Arizona State University. Previously, he was the John M. Fluke Distinguished Professor at the University of Washington and a professor at Georgia Tech. He holds multiple degrees from Virginia Tech and has industrial experience with Union Carbide and Eli Lilly. His research, funded by various organizations, focuses on industrial statistics, including design of experiments and quality engineering. An author of thirteen books and over 275 journal papers, he serves as a Chief Editor of Quality and Reliability Engineering International. Montgomery has received numerous awards, including the Shewhart Medal and the ASU President’s Award for Innovation.
