The Hong Kong Polytechnic UniversityDoug Vogel, a distinguished Professor of Information Systems and Director of the eHealth Research Institute at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), has shaped the field of information systems for over four decades. As the chief academic director of management science and engineering at HIT and Honorary Dean of HIT Alibaba Cloud Data Science Academy, his influence spans both academia and industry. Following his Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Minnesota, he has held prestigious positions including Chair Professor at City University of Hong Kong and served as the 18th President of the Association for Information Systems. His research portfolio, focusing on eHealth, knowledge management, and group decision systems, has garnered over 19,000 citations, with his groundbreaking work on electronic meeting systems receiving exceptional recognition. His academic excellence has been acknowledged through numerous accolades, including the AIS Distinguished Member Cum Laude, Australasian Institute of Digital Health Fellowship, AIS Technology VISION award, and his appointment as State Specially Recruited Expert by P.R. China.
